College guidance

Every full-time student at ORA meets with his or her school counselor at least four times a year. During these meetings, the counselor works with each student to develop the student’s four-year plan, which outlines:

  • Required coursework
  • Graduation progress
  • Post-secondary plans (career, college, military, etc.).

Each year, the counselor and the student update the four-year plan in order to determine future coursework and goals. Some goals may include:

  • Planning for standardized tests (PSAT, SAT, ACT, AP exams)
  • Creating a list of potential colleges/universities
  • Exploring career options and job interest inventories
  • Registering for AP or other college-level courses
